Online friends
Hey everyone! I'm in school and don't have much to write but I wanted to share something before I go to my class!
Something we all here have in common is probably that we have friends online, we play games, we meet on websites and whereever you meet you're online friends. Meeting and having friends online is one of the most fun things I know. If you show them the same respect as if you were meeting them in real life you can have great conversations and realize how many things you have in common (and it doesn't matter if you're busy doing something else, the conversation never ends if you don't want it to). But one day might come where you want to meet them in real life. Meeting someone in real life is more fun and maybe you live close to each other. What you need to know is that meeting online and irl can be two totally different things and maybe you don't get along as good as you did online. Some friends I know I could only maintain online for example! Hopefully you'll have a good time though but the chance of that will increase if you just remember a few things first. So according to the article the basic things you need to know is:
5. A safe meeting place.
You don't want this person to get all close to you somewhere you can't stop it, remember that people can be dangerous!
4. Make sure to have something in common.
If you have something in common and you have something you can prepare to talk about and you don't have to sit quite for a long while, it's also a good ice breaking if silence is the first thing that happens.
3. Don't lie about you junk.
Well, what can I say? "Clothes are going to come off, and the delicate online fantasy you've constructed might come crashing down" This only applies if you're dating the person, or maybe not even then so take that with a pinch of salt. Though, lying about your junk is never good, whether you're meeting a friend or a partner for life.
2. Have an excuse for calling the night early.
As I said, you might not get along as good as you hoped. If you can call the night early without being rude you might not feel so bad about it. Just have a back-up plan, plan b!
1. Say goodbye in a nice way.
You might be used to saying "bb, hf" but this is real life, how do you do it? Just be polite, if you had a back-up plan how to say goodbye you need a plan a first. Just say something nice, thank the person and you can leave without making a scene.
