Blizzcon, Heroes of the Storm, DreamHack and more
Hey guys!
It's currently morning in Sweden and I can see a glimpse of the sun peering above the roof top. Apart from two days ago I hadn't seen the sun for like a week which was very depressing. Therefore I am so thrilled to have some sun and light!
I never wrote anything down about Blizzcon so I thought I'd give you some fast thoughts.
The first thing I loved about Blizzcon and it's opening ceremony was Mike Morhaime's statement in the opening ceremony (if you haven't seen it, check it out here: http://youtu.be/H8PlemnS9SE?t=5m49s). He did not mention any specific organization, he did not denigrate anyone and still many probably understood who this "small group of people" are. I just think he makes this statement so clever and in a very intelligent way. No matter if you think about rasism, sexism or flaming, raging and bad manner in general his statement stands true. We should be so much kinder to one another in all possible ways and Morhaime reminds us about that in a very professional but touching way.
In Heroes of the Storm, the new specialist hero Lost Vikings was something that really made me happy to see. I never played Lost Vikings but it's a given it should be a part of the game since it should present more than the "modern" heroes according to me. I also loooved the Lost Vikings games in Wings of Liberty so!
Hearthstone is getting its first real expansion. The Curse of Naxxrammas is only considered an adventure which means we can expect a much bigger experience with "Goblins versus Gnomes". Really exciting.
I am also superpsyched about Leagcy of the Void. I have waited since 2010 when I first started playing Starcraft for the Protoss expansion. My life for auir!!
The new game Overwatch looks really cool as well. An FPS is like the only multiplayer genre Blizzard hasn't created yet. And! It's a whole new universe. After keeping new games in the Diablo/Starcraft/WoW universe for... what was it? Like, 17 years? I really think "hell it's about time" for a new universe. I love progression and I think they have totally done the right thing.

So while speaking of Blizzard... yesterday I got a technical alpha key to Heroes of the Storm! I was so happy that I literally interupted my friends on Skype after a LoL-game while we were discussing the game and just shouted that I got a key. I didn't have time to try it yesterday though so I spent today trying to figure it out.
So far I have only played Raynor, Uther and Lili. I wanted to try the heroes with the classifiction easy first and they really are easy. Great picks to get into the game, maps, talents and so on. I want to play Nova next but I will have to see when I get time to do that!
And, while speaking of Blizzcon, I struck me that this week I will be going to DreamHack! So excited. Just four days left!
ThorZaIN hasn't decided whether or not he will go yet but I really hope so... it's been over a year since last time I saw him... or the last time I saw Hellspawn, Ina Bäckström, Warspawn and all da asum people you meet there ;__;
So yeah! Blizzcon and DreamHack discussed at the same time. I might bring my camera to DreamHack so hopefully there will be some footage up by the end of this week (or next week).
