Theme week - Harry Potter

Hey everyone! Welcome to the start of the Harry Potter theme week.

To start the week of I'd like to present two character, you might not know too much about them, but they're both names Nicholas!

You might not know him by his real name, Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington, but I'm actually talking about nearly headless Nick. He is really nearly headless because his head didn't pop off fully when he died but does not like to be called by his nickname. Sir Nicholas i the Gryffindor house ghost because he was Gryffindor himself when he lived. He's been dead for quite a while and misses eating a lot.

In the films you can notice quite a big difference in the ghosts and they look a lot better in the later films! Might be hard to see only on a photo but if you watch them yourself you'll see the difference for sure.

Even though nobody is really sure the best guess someone has taken is that he was muggleborn.

Nicolas Flamel is our second person. If we look outside the world of Harry Potter he has existed in our world too and the Nicolas Flamel in Harry Potter is probably vagely based on the real person only.

Nicolas was born around 1327 and died at the age of 665 in 1992. It might sound wierd but it is because he created the Philosopher's Stone (not to be confused with the resurrection stone which I've done several times) that makes you immortal to make things very uncomplicated. The stone can also turn metal into gold.

This is apparently him

The reason why they decided to destroy the stone and die is because of the danger that is present at Harry's first year at Hogwarts. This is because Voldemort wants to get a hold of the stone so that he can become his normal form instead of living on the back of Quirell's head.
